🌌 The Heavens Declare
🌟 Looking Up: Where Astronomy Meets Faith
For as long as I can remember, the night sky has stirred something deep within me. Long before I ever created my YouTube outreach series The Heavens Declare, I was simply someone who loved to look up. Astronomy has always been more than a hobby — it has been a doorway into worship. It is how astronomy inspires Christian faith. Every nebula, star cluster, and galaxy feels like a brushstroke in a cosmic masterpiece, inviting me to know the Artist behind it all.
Scripture says, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.” That verse became real to me the first time I saw the Orion Nebula glowing through a telescope. Suddenly, the universe wasn’t distant or abstract. It was intimate. Alive with meaning. And it sparked a desire to share that sense of wonder with others.
🌟 Introducing “The Heavens Declare” — A YouTube Outreach Series
As my passion for astronomy grew, so did my desire to help others experience the same awe that draws me closer to Christ. That’s why I created The Heavens Declare, a YouTube series where I pair breathtaking celestial objects with reflections on God’s character, Scripture, and the beauty of creation.
Each episode focuses on a different astronomical object — a nebula, star cluster, galaxy, or cosmic phenomenon — and explores how it reveals something about God. The Helix Nebula becomes a reminder that we are seen. The Pleiades speak of guidance and community. The vastness of the Milky Way whispers of God’s majesty and path to eternal life.
The series is designed as outreach: accessible, visual, devotional, and rooted in Scripture. It’s for anyone who has ever looked up at the night sky and felt something stir in their soul. It is creation pointing toward the creator.
🌟 Star Parties: Sharing Wonder One “Wow” at a Time
One of my greatest joys is sharing the night sky with others. At a star party, you gather telescopes, eyepieces, snacks, and friends — and head out to a dark sky. But the real magic happens when someone looks through a telescope for the first time.
They lean over the eyepiece, adjust the focus, and whisper the same words every time: "Oh wow.”
Sometimes they say, “I’ve seen that object before… but not like that.” And they’re right. No screen can replicate the experience of seeing the heavens with your own eyes. Those reactions are special to me. They’re tiny moments of revelation — glimpses of awe that bypass the intellect and speak directly to the soul.
🌟 Why Astronomy Deepens My Faith
The more I learn about the universe, the more I feel drawn into the heart of the One who created it. Astronomy doesn’t replace Scripture; it illuminates it. When the Bible speaks of God stretching out the heavens, I think of the expanding universe. When it says He knows every star by name, I think of the billions of galaxies we’ve barely begun to explore.
Astronomy reminds me that the God who crafted the cosmos is the same God who knows me intimately. The heavens declare His glory — and they also declare His nearness.
That’s the heartbeat of the series, and the heartbeat of my faith: Every star, every nebula, every whispered “oh wow” is an invitation to see God more clearly.

Seeing Celestial Objects in a Telescope is like... Seeing the Glory of God !
